15 Ways To Motivate Yourself To Train Harder

The mind is the MOST important factor when it comes 
to improving as a rider.
At the end of the day, no matter how fit or strong you 
are...if your head isn't in the right place you are going
to struggle.
EVERYONE suffers from low motivation every now and 
again. Myself included. The key is to nip it in the bud.
If you feel yourself getting demotivated.
Lacking energy.
Or just losing your mojo for your riding then take 
action to get it back! 
Today I have 15 tips for you to boost your motivation 
when you are feeling less-than-motivated to ride your 
bike and train hard! 
1. Book an event! I've said this once and i'll say it again an 
event REALLY helps you get focused and train hard. 
2. Team up with a mate and ride/train together 
3. Set a goal! Having a date set in stone with a tangible goal 
to work towards really helps
4. Book a riding holiday! 
5. Go on a coaching day/guided ride
​​​​​​​6. Get in the car and go ride somewhere different 
7. Buy some new riding gear
8. Upgrade your bike 
9. Plan your sessions for the week in the diary in advance
10. Get your riding kit out all ready the night before, then 
put it straight on when you get in the house 
11. Get the kids/partner out on the bike with you and get them 
into riding! 
12. Set yourself some strava targets 
​​​​​​​13. Set yourself a distance goal eg. 'Ride for 50 miles'

15. Get up and move! It's super tough to get motivated if you are sat down 
​​​​​​​not moving. Get up...move around...and get active. You'll find you feel way more
motivated just moving!
